The TrashTag Challenge program has been launched around the world, the participants of which upload photos of how they remove garbage. Challenge started after one of the Internet users (social networks) showed a photo of the garbage dump before and then after cleaning it. After that, all concerned were following his example.
Concept of concept
The concept of #trashtag has existed for many years, but now it is becoming popular again. Removed many parks and beaches, suburban areas. A new challenge in social networks is an excellent example of how to help the natural environment. Photos posted on social networks urge everyone to collect garbage.
What it is?
The essence of the environmental movement in social networks is this: you need to find a polluted territory (sometimes you don’t need to look for it, garbage is lying on the streets, some even stumble and do not see it). Next, you need to take a picture of everything, and then proceed to cleaning the trash. After cleaning a specific area from beer bottles, bags and other rubbish, you need to take a photo of the clean area and, after the permission of the “headquarters and the police”, post it on social networks with the hashtag #trashtag.
The objective of this movement is to draw public attention to environmental protection and to encourage people to clean garbage bags in the right place. Remember that protective equipment should be worn during cleaning so as not to get injured by glass, syringe needles and other sharp objects. The whole world participates in such events.

You can take part in cleaning up territories or water spaces in groups (squads) or in other societies. We see that some events organized over the Internet benefit society and the environment.
In the Soviet Union, such a movement was also very popular, everyone went to subbotniks.
When did #trashtag appear
The new #Trashtag Challenge appeared in 2015. With its help, the Greenpeace organization, and just people who are not indifferent to environmental problems, tell and show how important it is to clean up garbage in any territories, even if it was left ten years ago. It is very interesting to compare how nature has changed over 10 years, what improvements have occurred. Photos before and after cleaning, posted on social networks Instagram, Reddit and Facebook, show how beautiful the world is without rubbish lying on the streets and small rivers, how green parks and squares cleared of garbage turn green. People also publish their thoughts on cleansing the places where they live and work.
