Russia has long been a multinational and multinational (since there are historically many ethnic groups not included in nationalities) country. For the most part, Russians are a people quite tolerant and not malicious with respect to foreigners (Gentiles, people of the “wrong” nationality). Of course, it is rather naive to assume that Russia has retained a single ethnic composition over the long historical millennia. Moreover, from the very beginning, its territory included places of residence, to put it mildly, of not quite Slavic peoples. But at the same time, labor migrants do dirty and hard work, for which the same public utilities often look for applicants for years. And they, too, sometimes become citizens of a beloved country: Kazakhs, Turkmen, Ukrainians, Moldavians, Belarusians and Uzbeks join the Russians.
