Few have heard of such a well-known pistol as the Glock 23. To date, the pistols of this Austrian company have acquired the status of one of the most popular and sought-after in the world. Therefore, the question of how common are airsoft drives with the form factor of such a colorful representative of the weapons world does not need an answer. This article is nothing more than a brief overview of one of these less traumatic fellows of the Austrian arms industry mastodon created by KJ Works. And we will talk about the relatively recent model Glock 23 Gen 4.

Box

The gun is delivered in a small box, on the lid of which is shown, in fact, the gun itself against the background of an unloading vest or some similarity. In the lower right part of the box, with very noticeable white letters, it is indicated that it is a gas gun. You should also pay attention to the presence or absence in the upper corner of the box of the inscription Metal slide, made in red. If you have this inscription on the box, the bolt frame of your gun is made of metal alloy. If there is no inscription, the frame is made of high-strength polymer, which imitates metal very successfully.

So, when you print the box and remove the lid, the following items will be waiting for you inside:

  1. User manual. A very clear English-language manual for operating an airsoft drive, in which there is a detailed diagram of the gun itself, instructions for loading cartridges, a step-by-step diagram for disassembling the gun and a few words about setting up the gas mechanism.
  2. The next on the list is an advertising brochure, which is a collection of photos that showcase various models of airsoft drives manufactured by the same company.
  3. Next, you will see the Glock 23 pistol itself, which feels very comfortable in the recess of the foam block box.
  4. A store is also attached to it, unfortunately, only one.
  5. And as a pleasant bonus - a box with plastic balls of 0.2 grams each.

Appearance

Well, now let’s take a closer look at the gun. Looking at it from a distance of 40-50 centimeters, distinguishing it from a real Glock 23 combat pistol of the same series will be a very difficult task even for a trained shooter holding a combat analogue in his hand. As for the inexperienced shooter, it is almost impossible to distinguish a gas mockup from a twin twin brother, unless with a closer look.

Like the original, the KJW Glock 23 shutter casing is made in metal, if you have a cheaper plastic model - made of a polymer mimicking metal. The handle and pistol frame are made of polymer in both cases - just like a real Austrian.

Further details:

  1. On the shutter cover, with the exception of the sticker “Made in Taiwan”, there are no signs. On the one hand - a flaw, and on the other - scope for customization.
  2. On the handle of the gun there are KJW prints, that is, the initials of the company.
  3. On the trigger there is a kind of trigger guard. However, if on a combat Glock 23 this fuse was mated to the internal mechanical part of the gun, then here it is just a spring-loaded lever sitting on a pin, which, in the free position, abuts one end directly into the frame of the gun, thereby preventing the arrow from depressing the trigger completely. When the shooter presses the lever, the protruding part enters the slot in the trigger, thereby no longer interferes with the shot.
  4. The pistol magazine also has a high degree of similarity with the original Glock 23 magazine. Its affiliation with the gas pistol gives out a nozzle for charging with gas, as well as the company's familiar initials.
