His name was John Minnock, he was a taxi driver in the city of Bainbridge until his dimensions allowed him to get into the car. Subsequently, he left work and was constantly at home, while his weight came to the mark of 630 kilograms.
The convened consultation of doctors decided that the "fattest" person in the world should urgently lose weight, for which a diet of 1200 calories per day was drawn up, on which John was on for 2 years. This allowed him to lose weight to 216 kg. However, in his life there were periods when he again gained weight (up to 90 kg per week), so he was unable to completely cope with his ailment. He died in 1983 at the age of 20.

The "fattest" female person in the world also lived in America. The woman, whose waist was about 3 meters, was called Carol Yeager. The lady had a mass of about 544 kg with a growth of 1.7 meters.
