To her thirty years of age, Russian volleyball player Tatyana Kosheleva is already a titled athlete, honored master of sports, world and European champion in the national team (titles were won in 2010, 2013 and 2015). The girl changed several clubs, currently signed a contract with one of the best Brazilian teams.
Childhood and youth
The future star of Russian volleyball Tatyana Kosheleva was born in Minsk (Belarus) in December 1988. The girl’s father is a soldier. The family was not involved in sports. Three years after the birth of her daughter, the Kosheleva moved to Tula. It was this city that became native to the athlete.
In school years I liked to play basketball. The young athlete was invited to participate in competitions, there were significant victories. At some point I became interested in volleyball, got to one of the games of the Tula team “Tulmash”. She became an ardent cheerleader. She decided to try her hand in this sport herself. And so it all began. True, at first the coaches did not take the girl seriously, many seemed to her hobby for volleyball as simple indulgence. If not for a happy occasion. Someone from the coaching staff came up with the idea - to select Tatyana in the children's volleyball team. She agreed to attend.
The young athlete liked Irina Bespalova, who later helped Kosheleva get into big sport.
Club activities
When Tatyana was 16 years old, she was invited to the Dynamo Moscow. For the club, the girl played 3 seasons. In the very first team she took part in the Russian championship of the 2005-2006 season. A year later, it was decided to move to the "Zarechye-Odintsovo" - a team near Moscow. Until 2010, a volleyball player played there. During this period, all possible trophies were won: a gold medal in the Championship, a Cup of the country, silver of the Champions League. The following year, Tatyana was invited to Tatarstan to defend the honor of Kazan Dynamo. It was with this team that the girl became the champion of Russia. In the same 2011, the club received the Cup of Russia.
In Dynamo (Krasnodar) Tatyana was invited after the performance for the Kazan team of the same name. Immediately after the transition, the athlete was injured. I had to undergo surgery, but willpower and the desire for new achievements did not allow me to rest for a long time. After 4 years, the volleyball player deservedly received the title of the best striker of the EKB Championship.
Membership in the Russian team
The debut in the national team happened to the juniors. In the framework of the European and World Championships, the girl with the Russian team became the silver medalist. In 2007, the coaching staff of the main national team drew attention to her.
After getting into the Russian national team, Tatyana Kosheleva’s career received new turns in her development. Three years later, the girls received a ticket to the World Cup, held in Japan. Tatyana went to the tournament, having the title of best striker. Bookmakers predicted victory for the Russian team. And did not fail. In many interviews of that time, the girl admitted that she wants to devote the victory to her dear people - mom and dad and a young man.
After the triumph in Japan, there were several major competitions, but so far they have not managed to rise above the victory in the European championship. In 2016, at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, the team suffered a disappointing defeat from the Serbs and was unable to get past the quarterfinals.
Currently, Tatyana completed the season in the Turkish “Fenerbahce”, underwent an operation on the sacral ligaments and signed a contract with the Brazilian “Rexona-Cesc”, whose coach is the great Bernardinho.
