A bit of history
The Botanical Garden was founded in 1980, thanks to the initiative of the National Academy of Sciences, and in particular - E.V. Kondratyuk. The territory allocated for the garden was the property of the T.G. Shevchenko. 35 years have passed since then, and the botanical garden expands its plant collections every year.

What is in the garden?

If you turn right from the main entrance, the path will lead visitors to the nurseries. About a fifth of the entire territory is occupied by them. For lovers of pleasant floral smells, the Krivoy Rog Botanical Garden has prepared a lilac garden, a jasmine garden, as well as a garden of flowered shrubs. Not far from the entrance is a collection of flower-decorative plants. This collection is the pride of garden workers, because it contains many rare items. The Bazavluk River flows through the park, so a pedestrian bridge was built, passing through which you can observe not only the flora of aquatic plants, but also the fauna. Just in this section of the park there was natural vegetation.
Amazing flora
More than three thousand species of plants that are represented in the garden were brought from different countries. Due to the variety of shrubs and trees, the botanical garden of Krivoy Rog was recognized as the National Pride of Ukraine. The park workers did an impressive job, they managed to collect a collection of feather grass, which later became the National.
