Kamenny Brod is the name of a village located in the Krasnoarmeysky district of the Samara region. To be precise, there are two settlements with the same name in the Samara region and they are located in different areas. The second village is located in the Chelno-Vershinsky district, lying on the opposite side, on the border with the Republic of Tatarstan.

Money for the construction was collected by all residents. The village, along with the region and the district, passed a difficult two hundred year journey. Many of its inhabitants took part in the Great Patriotic War. Many of them died. Their countrymen built the Victory Park, in which there is a memorial.

In the 70s of the last century there was a state farm named after Zhdanov, which was one of the first in the region and region. The banner of the state farm is still kept in the museum of the village. There are also exhibits of ancient peasant life.

In 1932 it was closed, after which it housed a club, a library with a reading room. Before the war, the bell tower and the dome were dismantled, and the church building was adapted for a granary. The wall painting has been preserved in some places. Only in 1999 the building was transferred to the Russian Orthodox Church. The temple was restored and the exterior work was completed, but the interior decoration continues.

Chelno-Vershinsky district

JV Kamenny Brod is the second village that bears this name. It is located in the north of the region, where the border with the Republic of Tatarstan passes. It is here that the Chelno-Vershinsky district is located, which includes the rural settlement of Kamenny Brod. It includes three villages, the settlement itself and the villages of Krasnaya Bagan and Novaya Tayaba.

The population here is predominantly Chuvash, who came here before the revolution from Staraya Tajaba of the Kazan province and founded two villages - Novaya Tajaba and Kamenny Brod. Also live Russians, Tatars, Mordovians. The main employment of the population is the production and sale of agricultural products, dairy and beef cattle breeding. On the territory of the joint venture Kamenny Brod there is a pedigree farm for breeding and raising pigs. There are several peasant farms.
