Biography of Natalia Velichko is rich in events. The future actress was born on the eve of the war in the city of Frunze (now Bishkek). Her parents were opera singers. Mom is a very talented woman who was sent to study at the Moscow Conservatory in the 30s. Father, Yakov Artemyevich Velichko, had noble roots, but grew up a street child because he lost his parents during the years of the revolution. When the girl was 7 years old, her parents moved to Moscow.
Life in the capital
From the age of five, parents decided to start introducing the child to music - first, in her native Frunze, the girl attended classes, then in Moscow. The little girl had no particular zeal for this type of art, until one fine day she fell into the hands of a famous teacher. She drew attention to the presence of talent in the girl and did not forget to praise on occasion. So there was a craving for music. Young Natalya decided to enter the conducting and choral school, but did not even think about an acting career.
It all started with the fact that the appearance of Natalia attracted a girl whose sister worked in the VGIK laboratory. It was decided to send some photos for samples. Perhaps they would have taken a movie. Soon, Sergei Bondarchuk planned to shoot War and Peace. Friends and acquaintances predicted the role of Natasha Rostova Velichko.

However, she was able to easily pass, despite the fact that Gerasimov himself took the exam. Bondarchuk failed to star in War and Peace, although the master invited the actress to audition.
